Databrick announced the Databricks Lakehouse for Retail, an industry-specific data lakehouse for retailers and consumer goods (CG) customers. The offering enables admin and DevOps teams to deploy Kubernetes workloads on LMX private cloud as well as public cloud platforms in a hybrid manner without the usual vendor lock-in that comes with proprietary Kubernetes managed services.

IBM announced the acquisition of Envizi, a provider of data and analytics software for environmental performance management. By using Envizi with IBM’s broader AI-based software, companies will be able to automate the feedback generated between their corporate environmental initiatives and the operational endpoints used in day-to-day business operations.

Quality announced that its Torque platform is now available for Microsoft Azure users on Azure Marketplace. Torque works by enabling DevOps practitioners to create a catalog of blueprints defined and configured to enterprise best practices, leveraging existing Infrastructure as Code scripts layered with data, services, and application requirements to deliver a complete environment. These plans are then available to developers through self-service through their existing CLI and IDE tools.

Fractal announced the acquisition of Neal Analytics. Neal Analytics empowers Fractal’s AI engineering capabilities and cloud-focused offerings across Microsoft’s multi-cloud ecosystems and enables customers to scale AI and drive decisions; it also strengthens Fractal’s presence in the Pacific Northwest, Canada and India.
